Two More Days!

Forty-eight hours until we meet at Messiah to have the traditional "in front of the 3 crosses" picture taken! We are leaving Messiah at 10:00 and meeting up with our Rolla and Colorado companions at the airport.

Tonight, we pack our "supply suitcases". I'm anxious to see just how many pairs of flip flops we've collected. I just know a lot of precious little Ugandan feet are going to be safer after we make our delivery.

Thanks to the 6th and 7th-grade classes at Messiah Lutheran School who assembled 1,200 kits so the kids in Nakabango can make jingle-bell bracelets next week! Also, to all the kids who wrote cards and letters that we will deliver!

Please pray for peace of mind for this team. This is about the time a lot of things start running through your mind; it all becomes real when you start putting things in a suitcase! I'm so excited about this group and how God will use each of us in the next 10 days! What a blessing!

Making Plans

Less than 3 weeks until we leave! There are 15 of us on the team this year - 10 Lutherans, 4 Baptists, and an Episcopalian - sounds like the opening line of a joke, doesn't it? It's a great group of people.

We are taking flip flops for the orphans in the village of Nakabango. We're also making plans to do some artwork again, hand out treat bags, make bell bracelets, and lots of other activities with the kids.

We leave on Saturday, May 31st. Please pray for our safe travel and the plans we have for our time in Uganda! I['m so excited!!!
